<br /> <br />MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 823-06 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ACQUISITION OF THE PREMIUM STOP PARCEL <br />LOCATED AT 2390 COUNTY ROAD 10 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission is required to review proposed <br />acquisitions of real property within the City by the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 55,756 square foot commercially zoned parcel located at 2390 <br />County Road 10, improved with the “Premium Stop” gas station, is blighted property with <br />nuisance and building code violations; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parcel is for sale and the property owner is willing to consider a sale <br />to the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is zoned B-3 (Highway Business) and has a Future Land <br />Use Map designation of Highway Convenience; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the subject property acquisition would be to facilitate the <br />redevelopment of this corner of the County Road H2/ County Road 10 intersection; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a broad goal of the Comprehensive Plan is to maintain a cohesive land <br />use pattern that ensures compatibility and a functional relationship between activities and <br />uses. This statement is further consistent with the community’s desire for coordinated and <br />meaningful development and redevelopment along the County Road 10 corridor. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Mounds View finds that the proposed acquisition of the property located at 2390 County <br />Road 10 would be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward <br />this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br /> <br />Adopted this 18th day of January, 2006. <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Gary Stevenson, Chairperson <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
