PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Regular Meeting <br />September 13, 1993 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by Mayor Linke at 7:00 p.m. <br />on Monday, September 13, 1993. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />~ATH OF OFFICE <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, administered the Oath of Office to <br />Councilmember-Elect, Julie Trude. Trude was welcomed to the Council by the <br />Mayor and Councilmembers. <br />Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, stated that the City Council is incorrectly <br />saying the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Linke, Councilmembers Wuori, Blanchard, <br />Trude, and Quick. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: Don Brager, Finance Director-Treasurer; Paul Harrington, <br />City Planner; Mike Ulrich, Public Works Supervisor; Tim Cruikshank, <br />Assistant to the City Administrator; Jim Thomson, City Attorney <br />Mayor Linke announced that Dick Schmidlin, the City's mechanic and 15 year <br />employee, passed away on the afternoon of September 13, 1993. Mayor Linke <br />described some of the duties that Dick performed as a City employee. Mayor <br />Linke also stated that the City Hall flag will be flown at half staff until <br />after Dick's funeral in his honor and that City Hall will be closed for the <br />~uneral. Mayor Linke stated that Dick will be greatly missed by all. <br />
