Pawnshop Report <br />April 2, 2003 <br />Pa ge 2 <br /> <br />License Requirements. Issues that will be addressed under the licensing provisions would <br />include application, investigation, license term and renewal, hours of operation, separation <br />between similar uses and all other operational requirements that wo uld be associated with <br />business licensure. Annual license fees, per-transaction fees, and investigation fees would <br />be established by Council resolution, however staff continues to support the following fee <br />structure as outlined in the last report: <br /> <br />o $2,500 annual fee <br />o $500 investigation fee <br />o $1.50 per transaction fee <br />o $5,000 performance bond in force for the life of the operation <br /> <br />Attached to this report, in addition to the draft Zoning ordinance the Commission has already <br />reviewed, is the proposed ordinance language to amend Title 500, Business License <br />Regulation. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the Commission review and discuss the attached information and provide <br />direction to staff regarding the proposed ordinances.
