Mounds View Planning Commission July 2, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Commissioner Hegland indicated he did not think the Commission should consider this request <br />when he is in violation on other issues and he does not think this variance would help the parking <br />situation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson asked whether Mr. Farrell has the right to apply for something else if he <br />is in violation on the fence and the trash. <br /> <br />Director Ericson indicated that he has the right to apply. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hegland commented that the issue is whether Mr. Farrell created this situation <br />and he thinks he did. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson indicated that he felt that before granting anything Mr. Farrell should <br />come into compliance with the other items. <br /> <br />Chair Stevenson indicated the Commission has the right to not issue the variance with the reason <br />being that he is not complying with the City. He then said he would consider the variance if Mr. <br />Farrell was in compliance with the other issues. <br /> <br />Commissioner Scotch indicated that Mr. Farrell applied for the permit so he is addressing this <br />portion of the issue. <br /> <br />Director Ericson indicated that Mr. Farrell has requested modification to the resolution regarding <br />the garbage issue as he wants to build a garbage enclosure to store garbage at the rear of the <br />property. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Zwirn/Hegland.
