Consideration of Hiring of Keith Czarnecki for the Position of Police Officer Starting Tentatively <br />on May 6, 1996. <br />Tim Ramacher, Police Chief, explained that a Police Officer recently resigned which left a vacant position <br />in the department. The department recently filled another position and during that process they <br />interviewed numerous applicants and developed a list of potential candidates. For the vacant position, <br />they would like to take the next candidate on the list, Keith Czarnecki. Chief Ramacher gave the council <br />a brief summary of Mr. Czarnecki's qualifications. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Blanchard to authorize the hiring of Keith Czarnecki to the position of <br />Police Officer, starting on or about May 6, 1996, with a probationary period of one year and the starting <br />salary and benefits to be in accordance with the union contract. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br />a. Adoption and Presentation of Resolution No. 4938, Recognizing and Commending Sharon Kosel as <br />Recipient of Mounds View Education Association's "Outstanding Layperson in Education" Award. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Hankner to adopt Resolution No. 4938, Recognizing and Commending <br />Sharon Kosel as Recipient of Mounds View Education Association's "Outstanding Layperson in <br />Education" Award. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke took this opportunity to read Resolution No. 4938 aloud, and present Ms. Kosel with her <br />award. <br />• <br />
