Page 3 <br />October 29, 1996 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />Siding -New <br />Season's View Window and Door, Inc. <br />Mr. Whiting stated he would like to remove Item D from the Consent Agenda until he is able to get further <br />information together. <br />Ms. Blanchard asked that Item B be removed from the Consent Agenda for discussion. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Quick to Approve the Consent Agenda AS AMENDED. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Discussion on Item B of the Consent A eg nda: <br />Ms. Blanchard asked if the Surplus Equipment referred to equipment only at City Hall or if it also included <br />equipment from the Bel Rae facility. <br />Mr. Whiting stated he believed the equipment reported in this memo was strictly from City Hall. The other <br />memo from Mary Saarion which was included in the Agenda packet detailed equipment from the Bel Rae <br />facility. <br />Ms. Blanchard stated she would like the Council to have an opportunity to review the Surplus Equipment <br />and discuss it before it is placed on the Consent Agenda. <br />Mr. Whiting stated this would also be his desire and he would like to have a policy adopted for surplus <br />equipment. In reference to the memo from Mary Saarion, he stated at this time this list was provided for <br />Council's information. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Hankner to Table Item B of the Consent Agenda for further discussion at the <br />November 4, 1996 Work Session. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br />Mayor Linke explained that this portion of the meeting was designated for anyone who wished to speak to <br />the Council on items that were not on the Agenda. <br />Bill Siercks, 2210 Pinewood Drive, in reference to a Letter to the Editor which appeared in the local <br />newspaper, asked if Ms. Hankner's resignation is due to more than just her job change. From the article, it <br />appeared that perhaps it was a result of opposition to another council members views on an issue. <br />Ms. Hankner stated she resigned primarily due to the job change which requires her to be out of town much <br />of the time. <br />
