He noted that he
has had discussions with Representative Evans regarding the city's frustrations with the Metropolitan Airport
Commission and their development of a Comprehensive Plan. The City provided input and Public Hearings
were to beheld in February or Maroh by MAC. Those. hearings have not been held yet. Two weeks ago, the
Council met with a representative of MAC and since then the council has been checking to see what can be
done legislatively. Some legislation was proposed and was approved last week
Mr. Bob Long provided details on the amendment which basically states that the Metropolitan Airports
Commission shall not expend any public funds for planning or construction of capital improvements at the
• AnokaBlaine Airport that will in any way conflict with the July 28, 1986 court order. This is a house bill and
the senate version does not contain the language so when it goes to the conference committee, the goal will be
to keep the language in the house bill.
