To Waive the Reading, Approve the Second Reading and <br /> Adopt Ordinance 725, an Ordinance Amending the Zoning Code Establishing an Administrative <br /> Variance Approval Process. <br /> ROLL CALL: Linke/Stigney/Gunn. <br /> Ayes— 3 Nays— 0 Motion carried. <br /> B. City Charter Issue Regarding Police Civil Service Commission <br /> City Administrator Ulrich indicated that this was discussed at the February 2, 2004 work session <br /> as a result of a request from the Charter Commission in May of 2003 to review the existence of <br /> the Police Civil Service Commission in conflict with the City's Charter. <br /> City Administrator Ulrich indicated that there would need to be a unanimous vote of Council to <br /> abolish the Police Civil Service Commission. <br /> Mayor Linke indicated there was an attempt last summer to abolish but the votes were not there. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Gunn. To Direct the Charter Commission to Review Section 202 _1 <br /> of the Charter. <br />
