Golf Course ]Legal Update. <br />Attorney Bob Long provided a brief update on the legal issue that is taking place regarding some construction <br />problems that have taken place at the golf course. He explained that his office has been working with John <br />Hammerschmidt in obtaining documents on this issue. A mediation has been set up for August 1, 1997. He <br />stated he is hoping for some opportunities for some settlement discussion on August 1st. He will provide <br />additional details at the July 28th Council meeting. <br />Report of Council members: <br />Trude: Council member Trude thanked the volunteers of the Festival in the Park for their participation. <br />She noted that the Public Hearing regarding the expansion of the Anoka County Airport will beheld at Blaine <br />City Hall. She asked that any personal comments be submitted to city hall for the file. An environmental <br />statement will be prepared and comments must be into the city by July 25th. She noted that this is a very <br />critical phase for public input. <br />Sti~rey: Council member Stigney noted as a member of the Charter Commission, he is aware that the <br />charter states that they are to receive quarterly reports from staff. He has not received any and wondered as to <br />the status. Mayor McCarty stated his is aware of this and that staff will be doing so. <br />Quick:, No report. <br />Koopmeiners: No report. <br />• Report of Mayor McCarty: Mayor McCarty noted that he received an Award from the Director of the Steel <br />Drummerettes to the City of Mounds View.
