Mayor McCarty reconvened the City Council meeting at 10:46 p.m. <br />A. Consideration of Resolution No. 5144, A Resolution Approving a Development Review for Silver <br />Lake Commons, 2625-2665 Highway 10. <br />Ms. Sheldon explained that this resolution contains contingencies and states that it would become null and void <br />if there is not a sale or transfer of the property within one year from the time the Resolution was passed. <br />MOTION/SECOND: McCarty/Koopmeiners to approve Resolution No. 5144, A Resolution Approving a <br />Development Review for Silver Lake Commons, 2625-2665 Highway 10. <br />Council member Trude noted that many residents in apartments use the garage space for storage and she <br />wondered if the city should consider requiring additional parking spaces per unit for the development. Ms. <br />Sheldon noted that there is a contingency whereby if the city notifies the developer in writing of the need for <br />additional parking, the developer would need to provide it within three months (with a consideration for <br />weather). The Planning Commission indicated their desire to see how the project worked with the agreed upon <br />ratio. <br />VOTE: 3 ayes 2 nays (Trude/Stigney) Motion Carried <br />B. Consider Employment Agreement with the golf course superintendent for the operation of the golf <br />course. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Koopmeiners to approve the Employment Agreement with the golf course <br />superintendent for the operation of the golf course. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Trude to table the consideration of the Employment Agreement with the golf <br />course superintendent for the operation of the golf course to allow time to further discuss this at the upcoming <br />work session. <br />VOTE: 3 ayes 2 nays (Koopmeiners/Quick) Motion Carried <br />Rye ort of Council members: <br />Trude: No report. <br />Sti~ev: Council member Stigney asked that the Highway 118 trouble spot be added to the Work Session <br />agenda for discussion, as he also acknowledges that a problem exists in this area. <br />Quick: No report. <br />Koo~meiners: No report. <br />wort of Mayor McCarty: Mayor McCarty stated he would like to pursue whether or not other cities have <br />been successful with the "No Tolerance Speed Enforcement Policy". <br />• deport of Clerk Administrator: Mr. Whiting noted that the Airport meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July <br />29th had been canceled.
