Page 8 <br />• September 8, 1997 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Koopmeiners to Approve Resolution No. 5153, Certifying the 1998 Proposed <br />Operating Budget and Property Tax Levy for the City's General Fund and Setting the dates and times for public <br />hearings on said budget and levy AS AMENDED. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />D. Consider Motion Authorizing the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into an employment <br />contract for Management Services at the Bridges with the current golf course superintendent. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Koopmeiners/Quick to Approve Resolution No. 5156, Approving an Employment <br />Agreement for the Golf Course Superintendent and Establishing Incentive Pay for Golf Course Personnel. <br />Mayor McCarty stated he has a concern on Article 3. He stated he would feel more comfortable if items that <br />were verbalized were added into the contract. He asked that the first paragraph be changed to read as follows: <br />"The City and Hammerschmidt agree to cooperate ineffectively operating and maintainu-g The Bridges and <br />other city facilities and equipment. Whenever possible, golf course employees and other city employees will <br />assist each other with no billing to the other department or program provided that the overall time spent by golf <br />course employees at other city facilities during a year is approximately equal to time other city employees <br />spend assisting the golf course. Accurate time and material records will be k~ by Hanunerschmid t for <br />services rendered by golf course personnel performing reciprocal work with other city deparbnents. " <br />Council members Koopmeiners and Quick accepted this as a friendly amendment. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />E. First Reading of Ordinance No. 603, an Ordinance Amending Section 1005.12 of the Mounds View <br />Municipal Code Entitled "Housing Code". <br />Ms. Jennifer Bergman, Housing Inspector, explained that this change will simply clarify the Housing Code so <br />that only renter-occupied units in buildings with two or more units would need to be inspected and registered. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Koopmeiners to approve the First Reading of Ordinance No. 603, an Ordinance <br />Amending Section 1005.12 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Entitled "Housing Code" and to waive the <br />reading. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />Koopmeiners aye <br />Stigney aye <br />Quick aye <br />McCarty aye <br />Motion Carried <br />F.
