VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />RESIDENTS REOUEST5 AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br />Mayor McCarty explained that this is the time for residents to address the council with concerns on items that <br />are not on the Agenda. <br />There were no questions or comments from the floor. <br />~'UBLIC HEARINGS• <br />None <br /> <br />A. Informational Meeting with Rick Packer, Representative from the Met Council <br />Mr. Rick Packer, Met Council Representative introduced himself as well as Guy Peterson who is a Sector <br />Representative for the Metropolitan Council. Mr. Packer briefly summarized some of their priorities as a <br />Council during the next 12-14 months of their term. He noted that they have three major goals to carry out <br />within that time. The first is to become more acquainted with the communities that they represent and have <br />them more acquainted with them individually and as a CounciUAgency. The second goal is to get people more <br />acquainted with their growth strategy (information was distributed to the Council members providing greater <br />detail in regard to that strategy). Their third priority is transportation and how to provide for transit and <br />transportation needs of the communities. He noted that they want to enhance the relationships with local <br />• officials and that they appreciate any input with regard to their growth strategy and their involvement with <br />transportation committees and the legislature. <br />
