5/fit)/c/2) (or c�) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2000-06 <br /> MOUNDS VIEW <br /> CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL BY <br /> ORDINANCE; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SECTION 2.02 OF THE <br /> MOUNDS VIEW CITY CHARTER. <br /> The Mounds View Charter Commission acting under Minnesota Statutes 410.12 <br /> Subdivision 7, hereby recommends amending the Charter of the City of Mounds View <br /> under Section 2.02 and is amended by the addition of the bold and underlined language <br /> and by the deletion of the language to read as follows; <br /> Section 2.02. Boards and Commissions. There shall be no separate administrative <br /> Board of Health, Library Board, or any other administrative board or commission except for <br /> the administration of a function jointly with another political subdivision. The Council shall <br /> itself be and perform the duties and exercise the powers of such boards and commissions <br /> provided by state law. The Council may, however, establish by ordinance boards or <br /> commissions to advise the Council with respect to any municipal function or activity,to <br /> investigate any subject or interest to the City, or to perform quasi-judicial functions. The <br /> members of such boards and commissions shall serve without compensation. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the Charter Commission directs the commission's chairperson to <br /> forward this resolution to the Clerk-Administrator for presentation to the City Council <br /> under Minnesota Statutes 410.12 Subdivision 7. If the City Council does not adopt this <br /> resolution by an unanimous vote, the Charter Commission hereby requests that the above <br /> amendment be placed on the ballot at the next general election in November 2000, under <br /> Minnesota Statues 410.12 Subdivision 1. <br /> Adopted this 11th day of May, 2000. <br /> 400) <br /> Ci ssion Chair <br /> Attest: , <br /> mmission Officer <br />
