Roll Call—Present-B. Amundsen, M. Eenigenburg, J. Miller, B. Mori, B. Thomas, <br /> J. Thomas, William Werner, Sr <br /> Absent—B. Doty <br /> Excused - <br /> 3. Approval of agenda and minutes <br /> Motion by B. Mori, second by J. Miller to approve agenda as corrected for item 7.b to <br /> be 4.02. UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED <br /> Motion by J. Miller, second by B. Thomas to approve minutes of November 11, 2004 <br /> as corrected for spelling of"resubmission". UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED <br /> 4. Citizens comments from the floor <br /> None <br /> 5. Reports of the Chair <br /> a. Chair J. Thomas reviewed a discussion with Clerk Administrator Kurt Ulrich <br /> regarding Chapter 6.04 and Kurt confirmed the Council does appoint a <br /> treasurer each year. <br /> • b. Chair J. Thomas reminded members and the citizens that 4 open positions <br /> exist on the Charter Commission and encouraged interested citizens to <br /> consider applying. <br /> 6. Reports of members <br /> William Werner Sr. encouraged Council members to be involved in the budget <br /> details and through language of the charter. <br /> Barbara Thomas noted that the Minnesota Legislature is in session and she is <br /> working with state staff on corrections to "filingla vacancy" language in MN Statute _ <br /> 410. £ <br /> 7. Unfinished Business <br /> a. Review any new information for Charter Section 7.04 to 7.12. Discussion: <br /> Section 7.04 subd. 4. Replace first sentence with"The purpose of this section <br /> is to provide the public with a general guideline of the annual budget process. <br /> Section 7.06 subd. 1 sentence 7 Change "It"with "The budget" and replace <br /> "purposes"with "establishing" <br /> Section 7.07 Move sentence two to be first sentence and replace "shall"with <br /> "may". And "shall be responsible for " with "may assist with" In sentence 4 <br /> replace comma between "City, established"with "as" <br /> Motion by B. Thomas, second Matthew Eenigenburg to "Prepare resolution to <br /> adopt and forward to Council modified language for Chapter 7 as reviewed <br /> and amended by this Commission".
