Mounds View City Council August 13, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />H. Resolution 8997, Approving Electrical Circuits for Fitness Equipment at the 1 <br />Community Center. 2 <br />I. Resolution 8998, Approving the Purchase of GPS Software. 3 <br /> 4 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Approve the Consent Agenda as amended 5 <br />removing Items F and G. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />F. Resolution 8994, Adopting a Market Adjustment for the HR Coordinator Position. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Council Member Bergeron asked if additional duties have been added to the HR Coordinator 12 <br />position. City Administrator Zikmund stated supervisory duties had just been added to this 13 <br />position. Finance Director Beer commented on the pay study that was completed late in 2017 14 <br />and noted the recommendation before the Council was based on the information gathered from 15 <br />this study. 16 <br /> 17 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 18 <br />8994, Adopting a Market Adjustment for the HR Coordinator Position. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br />G. Resolution 8996, Authorizing the Installation of the JWC Grinder at Groveland Lift 23 <br />Station. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Mueller commented on the grinder that was purchased for the Groveland Lift Station. 26 <br />She asked what this expense would cover. Public Works Director Peterson reported the 27 <br />requested expense would cover the installation of the grinder at the Groveland Lift Station. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Mueller questioned if the Groveland Lift Station would have alarms in place should the 30 <br />grinder fail again at some point in the future. Public Works Director Peterson stated alarms 31 <br />would remain in place. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mayor Mueller encouraged the public to stop dropping flushable wipes into the City’s sewer 34 <br />system. Further discussion ensued regarding the expense the City has had to incur because of 35 <br />flushable wipes. 36 <br /> 37 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull.
