He discussed the milestones that were achieved in the second quarter and was proud to 1 <br />report the newest K-9 officer already had two felony arrests. It was his hope the second K-9 2 <br />officer would be able to assist with additional drug arrests. He thanked the community and the 3 <br />City Council for their investment in the Mounds View Police Department and a second K-9 4 <br />officer. He stated the department responded to 3,000 calls for service in the second quarter and 5 <br />attended numerous outreach events. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Gunn encouraged the public to call 911 when they view any suspicious activity. 8 <br />Police Chief Harder thanked Council Member Gunn for this reminder. 9 <br /> 10 <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS 11 <br />A. Public Hearing: Resolution 8992, Approving a Conditional Use Permit for an 12 <br />Accessory Building exceeding 952 s.f. to be located at 2210 Bronson Drive. 13 <br /> 14 <br />City Planner/Supervisor Sevald requested the Council approve a Conditional Use Permit for an 15 <br />accessory building exceeding 952 square feet at 2210 Bronson Drive. He reviewed the City’s 16 <br />accessory building requirements. Staff provided further comment on the request and 17 <br />recommended approval. He noted he received an email from the neighbor offering his support to 18 <br />the request. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Douglas Watson, 2210 Bronson Drive, thanked the Council for considering his garage request. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Gunn asked if the pitch of the garage would match the existing garage. Mr. 25 <br />Watson commented the pitch would be slightly higher, but would all look like one building when 26 <br />completed. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Hearing no further public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:16 p.m. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Mayor Mueller asked what action the Planning Commission took on this item. City 31 <br />Planner/Supervisor Sevald reported the Planning Commission recommended approval of the 32 <br />request. 33 <br /> 34 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8992, 35 <br />Approving a Conditional Use Permit for an Accessory Building exceeding 952 s.f. to be located 36 <br />at 2210 Bronson Drive. 37 <br /> 38 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 39 <br /> 40 <br />B. Resolution 9000, Approving the Purchase of Two (2) Hi-E Dry Dehumidifiers 41 <br />for Water Treatment Plant 1. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase of two Hi-E dry 44 <br />dehumidifiers for Water Treatment Plant 1.
