Nays - 0. <br />Mayor Couglin stated he would like item B ahead of the consent agenda, and then move unfinished <br />business. Because of the time limit on the meeting, we may have several items left over on occasion from <br />a previous meeting. If there is an individual who would like to speak before this Council, we should try to <br />make it so they can speak before the Council and go home about their business. Mayor Couglin asks for <br />a motion to approve with those corrections. Resolution 5303. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty. Approve 5303, moving reports ahead of unfinished business. <br />Ayes - 5. Nays - 0. <br />Item E. Stigney: Regarding item E, mistyping in June, showing June 26, which is a Saturday, and really <br />should have been June 28 as a Monday. The second regular meeting of June should be June 28, <br />Monday. July 2 Council meeting should be July 26. <br />MOTION/SECOND: QuicklThomason. Approval of resolution 5293. Corrections of dates by Stigney. <br />Ayes - 5. Nays - 0. <br />REPORTS <br />Mr. Whiting discussed special work session. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marry. Approval of special work session on Tuesday January 19, 6:00 p.m. <br />Ayes - 3. Nays - 0. <br />Mr. Whiting discussed airport litigation and legislation for upcoming legislation session. <br />City Attorney: Discusses airport issues. Memo shows effort to form a coalition. There is a sample <br />resolution attached asking cities to consider adopting that to make sure it is clear that they have it part of <br />their agenda. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />David Jahnke: 8428 Eastwood Road, Discusses Bel Rae and the cost at 6.5 million. Mr. Jahnke <br />expresses a wish for the people heading the department be accountable for what they are doing. <br />Discusses the budget and spending. <br />Mayor Couglin: Discusses the budget and things that are needed and things that are options. The mayor <br />expresses a conservativeness in spending. Offers citizens to come down and speak. <br />• Mayor Couglin: Item 9-A, consideration on resolution 5302. Adopting the 1999 compensation schedule. <br />
