Motion passes. <br />City Attorney requests within the motion stated this would be authorized by the clerk administrator to any <br />technical revisions requested by the State Attorney. The reason is we are trying to make sure we match <br />up any recent changes in state law with respect to state financing to the grant, specifically the $500,000 <br />involved. We must make sure we are complying with any technical provisions needed in the lease <br />agreement. It would not change the substance of the dollar amounts of the rent. We may have to have <br />some additional provisions that would make it fully conform with any changes in that grant allocation. <br />Item C: Discussion of Mounds View Board of Commissions appointments. <br />Mayor Couglin has discussion on placement of the open positions. Nays - 0. <br />9-E: Consideration of resolution 5304. The streets committee report. <br />Discussion: This discusses present street policy and items relating to such assessments. Street width, <br />curb, gutter, sidewalks, water runoff and surface management assessment policies. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty. Adopting resolution 5304. <br />Ayes - 5. Nays - 0. Motion carries. <br />Item F: Consideration of appeal with regard to planning commission resolution 558-98, a resolution <br />denying a variance for two curb cuts on 8111 Eastwood Road, requested by Michael Tablas. <br />Mr. Tobias is not present. <br />Discussion by Council: Council is well-informed on the issue and prefers to take an immediate vote. <br />will automatically be granted without action. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Couglin/Stigney. Motion to end debate. <br />~~ <br />Discussion: To table this motion for two months to give time for study. City Attorney stated a final <br />decision must be made within 60 days unless that has been extended. The plan commission denied the <br />variance and that 60 day period ended.
