<br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 1999 - 7:00 P.M. <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br />Mayor Couglin calls meeting to order at 7 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mayor Coughlin, Council Members, Quick, Marty, Stigney, Thomason. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />None. <br />REPORTS <br />Gary Quick discussed cable commission meeting <br />programming for next year and they are looking <br />come in and work with them, and requested Mr. <br />run a camera. <br />Rob Marty attended League of Minnesota Cities <br />leaders on Friday and Saturday all day. Essentially what the <br />goal is for an I-35W corridor is to have zoning land staffings <br />and land use. For City use are items such as commercial <br />buildings that are up for sale, or lease. <br />Mayor Coughlin also attended a meeting on the airport discussions <br />at the State office building, with our representative Barbara <br />(Hockey, and Steve Novak. Carrie Schmidt and Chuck Whiting also <br />attended the Rotary Club at the Mermaid this last week and <br />appreciate the rotary club extending their welcome. <br />Mayor Coughlin also attended the business open house as most of <br />the Council and staff did this past Wednesday. Mayor Coughlin <br />thanks the business leaders who showed up. Mayor Coughlin <br />extends his thank you to the entire community for showing up and <br />making our grand opening of the community center a great success. <br />
