Mounds View City Council June 25, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />i Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />2 <br />3 9. REPORTS <br />4 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />5 <br />6 Council Member Meehlhause reviewed his upcoming meeting schedule. He stated on <br />7 Wednesday, June 27th he would be attending an NYFS Human Resources meeting. He reported <br />8 on Thursday, June 281h he would be attending an NYFS Board Meeting. He noted this would be <br />9 his last meeting serving as Chair of the NYFS Board. <br />10 <br />11 Council Member Meehlhause indicated he attended the League of Minnesota Cities Annual <br />12 Conference in St. Cloud last week. He reported this was an excellent conference and explained <br />13 he was selected to receive $1,000 in a drawing. He recommended these funds be donated to the <br />14 Mounds View Police Department for outreach programs. <br />15 <br />16 Council Member Meehlhause discussed the ambassador work he was doing on behalf of NYFS <br />17 at the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference. <br />18 <br />19 Council Member Bergeron commented he also attended the League of Minnesota Cities Annual <br />20 Conference. He explained he was pleased by the sessions that was were provided at the <br />21 conference. <br />22 <br />23 Council Member Gunn stated the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference was very well <br />24 done this year. She indicated she would be working to have youth sit in on the City's <br />25 Commissions and noted she would be working with Councilmember Mary Berg from New <br />26 Brighton to see if class credit could be given to students from the Mounds View School District. <br />27 <br />28 Council Member Hull reported there would be a neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, June 27th <br />29 at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the Crossroad Pointe redevelopment. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Mueller stated she enjoyed her time at the League of Minnesota Cities Annual <br />32 Conference. She explained she learned a great deal from the sessions she attended and through <br />33 the networking that took place. She noted she was elected President of the Minnesota Women in <br />34 Government. <br />35 <br />36 Mayor Mueller commented on several recent articles that highlighted events that occurred in the <br />37 City of Mounds View that were printed in a recent Sun Focus. She thanked Ray Revard Rivard <br />38 for his great efforts to report the news occurring in Mounds View. <br />39 <br />40 B. Reports of Staff. <br />41 <br />42 Acting City Administrator Beer reported staff would be conducting interviews for the <br />43 receptionist position on Wednesday. He noted seven candidates would be interviewed for the <br />44 position. <br />45 <br />
