5a. If the city council approves the traffic study, city staff can move towards installation of the traffic control. When <br />staff receives the signed resolution authorizing the stop sign, our Public Works staff installs the stop signs. <br />5b. If a petition is completed, it is checked to verify the 70% requirement is met. Then a letter is sent to residents as <br />in step 4a and a traffic study goes to council for their review and action.
