Public Works Director <br />Peterson indicated this was the responsibility of the homeowner. He provided further comment <br />on how the diseased trees would be disposed of. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9007, <br />Approving the Tree Removal's Contract. <br />Mayor Mueller requested staff ensure that Upper Cut Tree Services and Rainbow Tree Care be <br />licensed with the City of Mounds View. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />H. Resolution 9009, Authorization to Purchase 3 Ford Police Interceptors and <br />Set Up Costs. <br />Police Chief Harder requested the Council authorize the purchase of three Ford Police <br />Interceptors and setup costs. He explained two of the vehicles were scheduled to be replaced in <br />2019 and the third was being requested to replace a squad that was recently totaled. He stated the <br />department would take delivery of these vehicles in early 2019. He reviewed the setup costs and <br />noted a great deal of equipment would be harvested from the squad that was totaled. <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked how much the City would have to pay for the squad that was <br />totaled. Finance Director Beer estimated the City would receive $24,000 in insurance <br />compensation out of the $30,000 replacement cost. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he enjoyed his time at Festival in the Park on Saturday, August <br />18th and thanked the community for showing up at this event. He commented that on Saturday, <br />August 25th he attended Ghana Fest and thanked Police Chief Harder for having the rock wall <br />available at this event. <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he attended the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf ribbon cutting <br />ceremony on Tuesday, August 21 st. He stated he was very pleased by the turnout for this event. <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated on Wednesday, August 29th he would be attending a <br />picnic being sponsored by the NYFS Board of Directors for their staff. <br />
