City of Mounds View <br />IRONDALE STUDENTS COMPETE AT STATE VICA CONFERENCE <br />Nine hundred students from high schools and technical colleges across the <br />state competed in leadership and occupational skill contests the weekend of March <br />22-24. The students, all members of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America <br />(V.I.C.A.), competed in the Minnesota VICA Skill Conference; a state level competition <br />for vocational students in trade industrial technical and health occupations. Irondale <br />placed third in the state for team competition in "Opening and Closing Business <br />Ceremonies". Congratulations to these bronze medal winners: <br />Angie Bainville (MV), Jennie Berhow (MV), Nick Gullikson (MV), Samantha <br />Isaacson (MV), Erik Nelson (NB), Robert Rogers (MV), and April Thomas (NB). <br />Over two hundred industry leaders served on technical committees to prepare <br />and administer the hands on competitions and were present to judge events. <br />VICA is a nationwide partnership of business and industry, vocational students <br />and instructors .
