Mounds View City Council September 24, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn explained Coffee with a Cop would be held on Wednesday, October 3rd <br />at McDonald’s from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn noted the SBM Fire Department would be holding an Open House at Fire <br />Station #1 on Saturday, September 29th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported the YMCA Open House would be held on Wednesday, <br />September 26th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause noted he attended a Twin Cities Gateway meeting last week and <br />noted revenues were quite positive for 2018. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending an NYFS Board meeting on <br />Thursday, September 27th. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending the Taste of Northeast fundraiser on <br />Thursday, October 11th. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause commented on a training event he attended last week at the New <br />Brighton Public Safety Building with City Administrator Zikmund and Council Member Gunn. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated on Wednesday, October 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony <br />Community Center, a training session would be provided that addresses Keeping Kids Safe. He <br />noted he would be attending this event. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented on the red flyer she received from the City of Mounds View. She <br />noted the fall cleanup day would be held on Saturday, October 13th from 9:00 a.m. to noon. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller explained she received a letter from Quincy Housing thanking the City Council <br />for a donation of $2,500. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund provided the Council with an update on the North Metro Mayor’s <br />meeting he attended last week. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated last Thursday she attended the 34th Division of the Red Bull Deployment <br />program and dinner. She noted these troops would be deployed for 10 months. She explained <br />there were staff and Councilmembers from surrounding cities as well as local representatives in <br />attendance. She thanked Manny’s steakhouse for their generous donation of steaks for this event. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented on a letter she received from the Metropolitan Airports Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting next on Tuesday, <br />October 16th at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Center. She noted this group was seeking a treasurer <br />at this time.
