RESOLUTION 6416 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MOUNDS VIEW POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />TO ACCEPT A LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT FROM THE <br />MN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department has applied for and has <br />been approved to receive a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant with the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Justice Programs; and, <br />WHEREAS, the grant awarded is for $12,500.0 to be utilized for five <br />portable 800 Mhz radios for the Police Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, the grant requires the City of Mounds View to provide <br />matching funds in the amount of $1389.00; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby enter into a cooperative agreement with the Office of <br />• Justice Programs in the Minnesota Department of Public Safety ad accepts the <br />grant funding. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Police Chief Mike Sommer is hereby <br />authorized to execute such agreements and amendments, as are necessary to <br />implement this project on behalf of the Mounds View Police Department, with <br />payment hereby authorized from the Police forfeiture fund. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that payment will be made by Police <br />Forfeiture fund. <br />ATTEST: <br />Adopted this 10th day of January, 2005. <br />R b Marty, Mayor <br />j'' r <br />t'f ~~` <br />urt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />• (seal) <br />
