RESOLUTION 7121 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ADOPTING WATER SPRINKLING AND IRRIGATION REGULATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the Emergency Water Conservation Regulations of the <br />City Code (section 906.12) allows for water sprinkling and irrigation regulations to <br />be implemented; and <br />WHEREAS, at the June 4, 2007 and the July 2, 2007 City Council <br />Work Sessions, Staff presented a proposal to adopt revised Water Sprinkling and <br />Irrigation Regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, at the July 2, 2007 City Council Work Session the City <br />Council gave direction to develop Water Sprinkling and Irrigation Regulations that <br />consisted of three tiers; and <br />WHEREAS, in addition to establishing Water Sprinkling and <br />Irrigation Regulations, the proposal in the June and July City Council Work <br />Session reports also included a proposal for assigning penalties for violation; and <br />WHEREAS, there was also discussion at the July 2, 2007 City <br />Council Work Session pertaining to enforcement and personnel that would be <br />authorized to issues such administrative citations/fines. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />That the attached Water Sprinkling and Irrigation Regulations are <br />hereby approved. <br />2. That the 2007 City Fee Schedule be adjusted to include the <br />administrative fines established as part of these regulations. <br />3. That the administrative fines included in these regulations can be <br />and will be adjusted annually with adoption of future City Fee <br />Schedules. <br />4. That the Lead Utility Operator and the full-time water division <br />employee are hereby authorized to issue such administrative <br />citations/fines associated with said Water Sprinkling and Irrigation <br />Regulations. <br />
