RESOLUTION NO. 7119 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY CHARITIES OF <br />MINNESOTA , A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE <br />GAMBLING AT THE MERMAID LOCATED AT <br />2200 COUNTY HIGHWAY 10 <br />WHEREAS, Community Charities of Minnesota, a non-profit charitable <br />organization would like to hold charitable gambling on a permanent basis at The <br />Mermaid located at 2200 County Highway 10 in Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of <br />government (city or county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying requests <br />to conduct charitable gambling; and <br />WHEREAS, Community Charities of Minnesota is in compliance with all <br />requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable gambling <br />regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Mounds View to assist in the economic <br />prosperity of local business owners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby authorize Community Charities of Minnesota to conduct charitable <br />gambling at The Mermaid located at 2200 County Highway 10. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of July, 2007. <br />~-~~ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
