RESOLUTION 7054 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FROST BREAKER <br />WHEREAS, Public Works has been operating without a frost breaker for <br />several years; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton periodically assists Mounds View <br />with our frost breaking needs or Mounds View has scraped through the frost; and <br />WHEREAS, utilizing the City of New Brighton for our frost breaking needs <br />is not always possible or timely; and <br />WHEREAS, scraping through the frost is time consuming, difficult, and <br />potentially dangerous; and <br />WHEREAS, a frost breaker attachment will be used in the summer for <br />road maintenance and other various tasks; and <br />WHEREAS, the adopted 2007 Budget has $5,000.00 allotted in the <br />enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment department, capitol <br />equipment (700-4823-7030). <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />That the proposal for the purchase of a Hydraulic Breaker from <br />Bobcat in the amount of $5,529.00 plus tax is here by approved. <br />2. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Bobcat. <br />3. That the funds to finance this purchase will be derived from the <br />Enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment <br />department, capitol equipment account (account 700-4823-7030), <br />and that any additional funds that may be required are to be <br />derived from the Enterprise Fund, water infrastructure and <br />equipment department contingency account. <br />
