RESOLUTION NO. 7083 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TASK FORCE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is required to update its municipal <br />Comprehensive Plan by the end of 2008; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council identified the Comp Plan amendment <br />process as one of its adopted goals for 2007; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the value of having a task force <br />provide interim feedback and oversight during the amendment process; and, <br />WHEREAS, a task force comprised of representatives from the City's <br />commissions, the City Council, and residents at large would provide broad <br />oversight and help ensure that proposed amendments would be in the best interest <br />of the general community; and, <br />WHEREAS, such a task force would meet once a month (or as needed) <br />and serve as an advisory body to the City Council and relevant commissions <br />throughout the amendment process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby <br />establishes the Comprehensive Plan Task Force with the principal purpose to <br />review and oversee the preparation of the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Amendment, <br />with membership comprised of one member each from the City Council, the <br />Planning Commission, the Economic Development Commission and the Parks, <br />Recreation and Forestry Commission, and up to six additional at-large resident <br />representatives. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the <br />Comprehensive Plan Task Force would conclude its work upon City Council <br />adoption of the 2008 Comp Plan Amendment. <br />Adopted this 14th day of May, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />(seal) <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />
