RESOLUTION NO. 7093 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING STATE BOND FINANCING FOR <br />HIGHWAY 96110 INTERCHANGE AND COUNTY ROAD H PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS, as part of the potential redevelopment of the Twin Cities Army Ammunition <br />Plant ("TCAAP") site in the City, the City anticipates the possible need for certain <br />improvements to the interchange of County Highway 96 U.S. and Highway 10 and the <br />interchange of (the "Interchange Projects"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Interchange Projects provide transportation infrastructure of regional <br />significance; and <br />WHEREAS, upgrading the County Road H interchange would be the first interchange into <br />the TCAAP redevelopment project and will provide the main connection to Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Capital Improvement Plan has improvements scheduled for the CR H <br />and Highway 10 intersection would be able to tie-in to this project and will improve access <br />and safety for Mounds View residents and businesses; and <br />WHEREAS, improvements to the Rice Creek Corridor trail system and access are <br />important to Mounds View and are anticipated components of this project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills intends to seek funds from the State of Minnesota <br />through a grant of proceeds from State general obligation bonds in the 2008 legislative <br />session and the City of Mounds View is supportive of those efforts; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br />to support an application by the City of Arden Hi11s for the Governor's 2008 bonding bill <br />toward the Highway 96, Highway 10 and County Road H interchange projects. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Mounds View this 11th day of June, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
