She commented that either way <br />this vote goes, she did not believe the City was picking winners or losers, but rather business <br />owners had to continue to make investments in order to compete. She stated she was extremely <br />disappointed Ramsey County was restricting access onto the Crossroad Pointe property. She <br />anticipated the property would have been valued 10-20% higher if the County had allowed access <br />onto Mounds View Boulevard. She was of the opinion that adding a 24-hour convenience store <br />would not benefit this neighborhood given the level of traffic in this area. For this reason, she <br />supported Option 1 which included 135 market rate apartments. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 3 Nays – 2 (Gunn and Meehlhause) Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To direct staff to cooperate with the City Attorney and <br />developer to complete a Development Agreement and any other necessary documents needed to <br />complete the option chosen for development contingent upon a successful land sale agreement. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />7.
