Mounds View City Council December 10, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Kate Becker, 2200 Mounds View Boulevard, explained she was an attorney representing the new <br />owner for The Mermaid. She reported the buyer would be purchasing 10 bowling centers in the <br />metro area. She did not anticipate any significant changes would occur at The Mermaid. She <br />noted all appropriate food licenses have been applied for. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn asked if the mermaid would be coming back. Ms. Becker stated she <br />would pass this question along to the new owner. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller indicated the community had much love for the mermaid and would love to <br />welcome her back to Mounds View. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9044, <br />Approving the Transfer of an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller noted the date missing within the Resolution should be filled in as the date of <br />closing which was December 14, 2018. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9043, <br />Approving the Transfer of the Restaurant and Bowling Licenses. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller noted the date missing within the Resolution should be filled in as the date of <br />closing which was December 14, 2018. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 9039, Approving the 2019 City Council Meeting, Council/Staff <br />Retreats and the Town Hall Meeting Dates. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the 2019 City Council meeting, <br />Council/Staff retreats, and the Town Hall meeting dates. He reviewed the proposed schedule in <br />detail with the Council, noting the January retreat date may be postponed. He requested feedback <br />from the Council on the Town Hall meeting date. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to hold the Town Hall meeting on Monday, April 15th. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9039, <br />Approving the 2019 City Council Meeting, Council/Staff Retreats and the Town Hall Meeting <br />Dates. <br />
