Mounds View City Council December 10, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 9 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated this past weekend he was in Bemidji where he attended the <br />Bemidji staff Christmas party. He said hello from former Mayor Jerry Linke, who was in <br />attendance at this event. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause wished everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy <br />New Year. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported December 14th was the deadline for matching contributions at the Ralph <br />Reeder Food Shelf. She encouraged the public to consider making a donation to the food shelf <br />on or before December 14th. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller indicated she would be visiting MedTronics on Tuesday, December 11th with the <br />City’s Building Official. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated the Minnesota Women in Government would be meeting next on Friday, <br />December 14th. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Comprehensive Plan Committee will meet next on Tuesday, <br />December 18th. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller explained the Mounds View Business Council will meet on Wednesday, <br />December 12th at The Mermaid. She thanked Council Member Meehlhause and staff members <br />for representing the City at these meetings. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated the North Metro Mayors would meet next on Wednesday, January 16th. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Ray Ravard with the Sun Focus for his excellent work reporting <br />activities occurring within the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated the Mounds View 15 Theater would be holding a free showing of <br />the Polar Express on Saturday, December 22nd and Sunday, December 23rd at 10:00 a.m. <br />Attendees are asked to bring a food donation and noted all donations would be given to the Ralph <br />Reeder Food Shelf. <br /> <br />1. Discuss the Need for Second Meeting in December. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported typically the second meeting in December has been canceled. However, <br />there may be some Council business that needs to be addressed prior to the end of the year. She <br />explained a tentative meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, December 27th at 6:30 p.m. She <br />noted an EDA meeting would be held prior to the Council meeting, if needed. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Police Chief Harder stated Shop with a Cop would be held on Sunday, December 16th at the <br />Community Center. He reported it was his intention to have three or four volunteer reserve
