John Connelly – North Metro North Chamber. <br /> <br />John Connelly, North Metro North Chamber, thanked the Council for their time. He provided <br />the Council with a handout that identified the Chamber’s vision and business issues. He <br />commented on the work being completed by the Chamber to assist local businesses noting the <br />Chamber served as a pipeline for communication. He invited the Council to attend the <br />Chamber’s Annual Gala on Thursday, March 7th at The Mermaid from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. He <br />discussed the outreach efforts the Chamber would complete prior to the MnDOT I-35W project <br />commencing. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Resolution 9064, Approving the Final Payment for the 2018 Business Park <br />North Street Reconstruction Project, Declaring the Amount to be Assessed <br />and Set a Public Assessment Hearing. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the final payment for the 2018 <br />Business Park North Street Reconstruction Project, declaring the amount to be assessed and to <br />set a Public Assessment Hearing. He commented on the original contract amount and noted <br />several change orders were required. He discussed the amount that would be assessed for the <br />2018 Business Park North Project and recommended the Council approve the final payment. It <br />was noted the Public Assessment Hearing would be held on Monday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked what the original budget was for this project. Public Works <br />Director Peterson stated the original budget was $1 million and noted this project came in under <br />budget. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause questioned how many properties would be assessed for this <br />project. Public Works Director Peterson stated he was uncertain. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he was extremely pleased with how this project turned <br />out and was pleased to be driving on nice, new streets within the Business Park North area. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9064, <br />Approving the Final Payment for the 2018 Business Park North Street Reconstruction Project, <br />Declaring the Amount to be Assessed and Set a Public Assessment Hearing. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 9062, Approving Purchase and Installation of Electronic Locks <br />for the Public Works Facility – Phase 2. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase and installation of <br />electronic locks for the Public Works Facility. He reported this was part of Phase 2 for this <br />project and would cost $22,075.90.
