COUNCIL BUSINESS 7 <br />A. Resolution 9056, Selection of the Acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official 8 <br />Newspaper and Depositories for 2019. 9 <br /> 10 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council select an Acting Mayor, Treasurer, official 11 <br />newspaper and depository for 2019. He reported the Sun Focus would no longer be providing 12 <br />coverage in New Brighton and Mounds View. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Mayor Mueller commented on the submitted newspaper quotes and recommended the official 15 <br />newspaper of record be the Bulletin with the St. Paul Pioneer Press as the City’s secondary 16 <br />newspaper. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council consensus was to recommend the Bulletin for the City’s official newspaper of record. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Mueller recommended the depositories move forward as recommended by staff. She 21 <br />asked who would like to serve as Acting Mayor for 2019. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Gunn stated she would be willing to serve as the Acting Mayor again in 2019. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council consensus was to recommend Council Member Gunn serve as the Acting Mayor for 26 <br />2019. 27 <br /> 28 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 29 <br />9056, Selection of the Acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official Newspaper (The Bulletin) and 30 <br />Depositories for 2019. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 33 <br /> 34 <br />B. Resolution 9054, Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as 35 <br />Representatives for City Commissions and Other Organizations. 36 <br /> 37 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council appoint City Council members and City staff 38 <br />as representatives for City Commissions and other organizations. He reviewed the list of past 39 <br />appointments with the Council and discussed the importance of the Anoka County Fire Board 40 <br />representative being in attendance at the fall meeting. He commented on how the Human 41 <br />Resources Committee would have formal agendas and would be making recommendations to the 42 <br />City Council. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if the I-35W Coalition should be added to this list.
