John Connelly – North Metro North Chamber. 2 <br /> 3 <br />John Connelly, North Metro North Chamber, thanked the Council for their time. He provided 4 <br />the Council with a handout that identified the Chamber’s vision and business issues. He 5 <br />commented on the work being completed by the Chamber to assist local businesses noting the 6 <br />Chamber served as a pipeline for communication. He invited the Council to attend the 7 <br />Chamber’s Annual Gala on Thursday, March 7th at The Mermaid from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. He 8 <br />discussed the outreach efforts the Chamber would complete prior to the MnDOT I-35W project 9 <br />commencing. 10 <br /> 11 <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS 12 <br />A. Resolution 9064, Approving the Final Payment for the 2018 Business Park 13 <br />North Street Reconstruction Project, Declaring the Amount to be Assessed 14 <br />and Set a Public Assessment Hearing. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the final payment for the 2018 17 <br />Business Park North Street Reconstruction Project, declaring the amount to be assessed and to 18 <br />set a Public Assessment Hearing. He commented on the original contract amount and noted 19 <br />several change orders were required. He discussed the amount that would be assessed for the 20 <br />2018 Business Park North Project and recommended the Council approve the final payment. It 21 <br />was noted the Public Assessment Hearing would be held on Monday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked what the original budget was for this project. Public Works 24 <br />Director Peterson stated the original budget was $1 million and noted this project came in under 25 <br />budget. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Meehlhause questioned how many properties would be assessed for this 28 <br />project. Public Works Director Peterson stated he was uncertain. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he was extremely pleased with how this project turned 31 <br />out and was pleased to be driving on nice, new streets within the Business Park North area. 32 <br /> 33 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9064, 34 <br />Approving the Final Payment for the 2018 Business Park North Street Reconstruction Project, 35 <br />Declaring the Amount to be Assessed and Set a Public Assessment Hearing. 36 <br /> 37 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 38 <br /> 39 <br />B. Resolution 9062, Approving Purchase and Installation of Electronic Locks 40 <br />for the Public Works Facility – Phase 2. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase and installation of 43 <br />electronic locks for the Public Works Facility. He reported this was part of Phase 2 for this 44 <br />project and would cost $22,075.90. 45
