PUBLIC INPUT: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> This item was removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />6. EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Skyline Project <br /> <br />1. General Discussion/Issues <br />2. Resolution No. 18-EDA-318 – A Resolution Authorizing the <br />Purchase of Real Property <br /> <br />Executive Director Zikmund stated the EDA has been discussing the Skyline <br />property after the developer was unable to secure financing. He explained the <br />EDA met prior to this meeting to discuss the purchase of the Skyline property. <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs commented on a proposed Purchase Agreement for the <br />Skyline property. He reported the EDA has been addressing negotiations with <br />staff. The revisions within the document based on comments received from the <br />EDA were reviewed. He noted the EDA has discussed relocation costs and he <br />recommended the EDA retain the services of a relocation specialist after the <br />Purchase Agreement is approved. <br /> <br />President Mueller thanked Business Development Coordinator Beeman for all of <br />his efforts on this project. <br /> <br />Executive Director Zikmund stated for the public there was no other property in <br />the City that had as high of a level of police activity as the Skyline Motel. He <br />reported this statistic weighed heavy on the minds of the Council when <br />considering this property purchase and redevelopment, along with the fact the <br />property was severely blighted. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull.
