Ord 794 <br />Page 2 <br />Subd. 2. All gates shall be equipped with self-closing hinges and aself-latching <br />device. Where the release mechanism of the self latching device is located <br />less than 54" from the bottom of the pate, the release mechanism shall be <br />located on the pool side of the pate at least 3 inches below the top_of the <br />gate. <br />Subd. 3. All pates shall be equipped with a lock which will render the pate <br />inaccessible when the pool is not in use. Ladders and steps shall be capable <br />of being secured locked or removed to prevent access. Ladders and steps <br />which are non-removable ornon-folding shall be surrounded by a barrier as <br />stated in Subd. 1. All locks shall be of the type which cannot be opened <br />without the use of a key or numerical combination. <br />Subd 4 No person owning or operating an outdoor swimming pool shall use, <br />operate, or allow the use of such swimming pool unless such pool complies <br />with the above provisions.
