RESOLUTION 7206 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE WELL NO. 6 <br />REHABILITATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City established a maintenance program whereby <br />the City's wells would be evaluated and rehabilitated on a seven-year cycle; and <br />WHEREAS, Well Number 6 was last rehabilitated in 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on January 9, 2008, at <br />10:00 a.m. for the Well No. 6 Rehabilitation Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive and responsible bid was received <br />from Keys Well Drilling Company with a bid price of $14,115.00; and <br />WHEREAS, funds for this Well Rehabilitation Project were <br />budgeted in the Enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment <br />department, construction account (account 700-4823-7050). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. That the Base Bid of Keys Well Drilling Company in the amount of <br />$14,115.00 for the Well No. 6 Rehabilitation Project is the lowest <br />responsive bid. <br />2. That a contract to perform said work is awarded to Keys Well <br />Drilling Company. <br />3. Funds for this well rehabilitation project are to be derived from the <br />Enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment <br />department, construction account (account 700-4823-7050). <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. <br />5. The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return <br />the deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful <br />bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />6. Said contract shall not exceed $20,000 without the authorization of <br />the City Council. <br />
