EDA RESOLUTION NO. 08-EDA-239 <br />MOUNDS VIEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A REDEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM <br />APPLICATION FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACQUISITION AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT OF 2400 COUNTY ROAD H2 <br />WHEREAS, the property located at 2400 County Road H2, formerly operated as <br />Robert's Sport's Bar, has become available through foreclosure; and, <br />WHEREAS, the property is located within the identified Premium Stop <br />Redevelopment project area and adjacent to property acquired by the Economic <br />Development Authority (the "EDA") for redevelopment; and, <br />WHEREAS, the EDA has indicated an interest in maximizing the redevelopment <br />project footprint; and, <br />WHEREAS, to accomplish the acquisition and subsequent redevelopment of the <br />property located at 2400 County Road H2, a Redevelopment Program grant application <br />for funding through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic <br />Development has been prepared for the EDA's consideration. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the EDA approves the preparation <br />and submission of the Redevelopment Program grant application to the Minnesota <br />Department of Employment and Economic Development in support of the acquisition <br />and redevelopment of the property located at 2400 County Road H2. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the EDA shall act as the legal sponsor for <br />project(s) contained in the Redevelopment Grant Application to be submitted on <br />January 15, 2008 and that the President and Interim Executive Director are hereby <br />authorized to execute the application on behalf of the EDA. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the EDA has the legal authority to apply for <br />financial assistance, and the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure <br />adequate project administration. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sources and amounts of the local match <br />identified in the application are committed to the project identified. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the EDA has not violated any Federal, State or <br />local laws pertaining to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or <br />other unlawful or corrupt practice. <br />
