RESOLUTION 7238 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2008 SQUAD CAR PURCHASE <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement <br />schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the Police Department is properly <br />equipped to provide emergency response to it citizens, and ; <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted <br />for replacement of two squad cars to meet this need in 2008, and; <br />WHEREAS, the replacement cost of two squad cars was budgeted in <br />2008 at an estimated cost of $23,000.00 each, plus equipment and set up, and; <br />WHEREAS, Elk River Ford was awarded the state bid for the 2008 Ford <br />Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Package at an approximate cost of $21,320.05 <br />each. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City <br />of Mounds View authorizes the purchase of two 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police <br />vehicles under the state bid at an approximate cost of $21,320.05 each, for a <br />total cost of $42,640.10, plus tax, registration, and any license fees, and the sale <br />of the two old squad cars being replaced through the Admin MN State Surplus <br />Services auction. <br />Adopted this 10th day of March 2008. <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~ <br />Ro Marty, Mayor <br />;,rte--~ ~;~--u-~S-~-~-- <br />Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal j <br />
