RESOLUTION NO. 7249 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ADVERTISE FOR THE <br />FULL TIME POSITION OF PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />WHEREAS, due to a resignation of Greg Lee, there is an immediate need to fill <br />the position of Public Works Director in the Public Works Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, Staff would like to start the process of advertising for the Public <br />Works Director immediately; and <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department will not be able to support the city's <br />goals and their associated pubic improvement projects at our current staffing level. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View authorizes staff to prepare and post an advertisement for afull-time exempt <br />position of "Public Works Director" within the Public Works Department. <br />NOW, MAY IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that once a qualified candidate is <br />selected for the Public Works Director, staff would seek authorization from the City Council <br />to hire the individual. <br />Adopted this 24th day of March, 2008. <br />/ ~ '~' .~ <br />~/I~-- c~ <br />Ro Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />-~t,~yu.-~- ~~~,tt,~rZJI'~.,~'. <br />James Ericson, interim City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
