RESOLUTION 9093 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZE AE2S (ADVANCED ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />SERVICES, INC.) TO PERFORM ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR AN INFLOW AND <br />INFILTRATION FLOW STUDY ON THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, The City Council is aware of the rising costs associated with the treatment of <br />wastes in the municipal sanitary sewer system; and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council requested Staff look into further options to reduce the costs for <br />this treatment; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Work Staff after reviewing the Sanitary Sewer System noted a number of <br />privates systems connected to the City system; and <br />WHEREAS, the City does not meter the flow coming from these systems; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends that an Inflow and Infiltration Flow Study (I & 1) be performed <br />on these systems; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a proposal from AE2S for $15,000 to perform an I & I Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2019 Sanitary Sewer budget account 730-4823-3030 has $12,000 for an I & I <br />Study and the required additional $3,000 would be taken from contingency account 730-4823-9100. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. is authorized to perform engineering <br />services for a Sanitary Sewer Inflow and Infiltration flow Study for $15,000. <br />2. To be funded from the 2019 Sanitary Sewer Budget, account 730-4823-3030 for $12,000 and 730- <br />4823-9100 for $3,000. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate <br />documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take <br />any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent <br />of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 251h day of March <br />r�GG2C�//tel LGLI�✓� <br />Carol A.
