RESOLUTION 9032 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING A FEASIBILITY STUDY AND SURVEY FROM STANTEC FOR THE 2019 <br />STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT THAT INCLUDES BUSINESS PARK SOUTH, <br />BRONSON DRIVE FROM LONG LAKE ROAD TO EDGEWOOD DRIVE, AND THE PARKING <br />LOTS LOCATED AT SILVER VIEW PARK AND FIRE STATION 1 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is considering to reconstruct Business Park <br />South, Bronson Drive, and the parking lot at Silver View Park as part of the 2019 Street <br />Reconstruction Project; and, <br />WHEREAS, this project will include pavement rehabilitation and the necessary <br />storm sewer and curb/gutter improvements; and, <br />WHEREAS, this project is proposed to be assessed in accordance with Chapter <br />202 of the Municipal Code; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands a feasibility study is needed to include <br />cost estimates on unit prices and a total project costs; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Spring Lake Park, Blaine, Mounds View Fire Department (SMB <br />Fire Dept.) has requested that Station #1, 1710 County Road 10, Spring Lake Park, <br />parking lot be included in the project to take advantage of obtaining lowers costs; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands that a Joint Powers Agreement would <br />be needed between Mounds View and SMB Fire Dept. if the project was awarded; and, <br />WHEREAS, the draft 2019 budget includes $700,000.00 for this project, in <br />account 485-4470-7050. <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received an estimate from Stantec Engineering Services to <br />complete the Feasibility study and survey not to exceed $12,000.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve Stantec Engineering Services to <br />complete a feasibility study and survey for Business Park South, Bronson Drive, and the <br />parking lots located at Silver View Park and SMB Fire Dept.
