First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 954, Amending City Code 6 <br />Chapter 800, Motor Vehicle and Traffic. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council introduce an Ordinance that would 9 <br />amend City Code Chapter 800 regarding motor vehicle and traffic. He summarized the minor 10 <br />changes that were made to this chapter of City Code and recommended the Council introduce 11 <br />Ordinance 954. 12 <br /> 13 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Bergeron. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance 954, 14 <br />Amending City Code Chapter 800, Motor Vehicle and Traffic. 15 <br /> 16 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 17 <br /> 18 <br />C. Resolution 9071, Approving VCET Officer Specialty Pay. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council approve VCET Officer Specialty 21 <br />Pay. He explained Ramsey County requested Mounds View participate in their VCET program 22 <br />but had not determined if additional pay for officers participating in this program. He reported 23 <br />the Human Resources Committee met on January 17th and it was decided some additional 24 <br />compensation should be considered. He indicated a recommendation was being made from the 25 <br />Human Resources Committee to pay these officers an additional $300 of specialty pay per 26 <br />month. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Mueller asked if there was enough room in the 2019 budget to cover this extra expense. 29 <br />Finance Director Beer reported there was funding available to cover the proposed specialty pay. 30 <br /> 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9071, 32 <br />Approving VCET Officer Specialty Pay. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Bergeron asked what the yearly expense would be to the City for the VCET 35 <br />specialty pay. Finance Director Beer noted the additional cost would be $3,600 per year. 36 <br />However, he explained the City had received $15,000 from the County for participating in this 37 <br />program. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 40 <br /> 41 <br />D.
