The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9092 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR HF1095 (ELKINS, DFL)/SF1271 (SENJEM,IR) <br />AND HF2194 (ELKINS, DFL)/SF2087 (ANDERSON, IR) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and discussed the identified legislation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, House File 1095/Senate File 1271 provides for the creation of Street <br />Improvement Districts; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, public infrastructure, of which roads and bridges are fundamental to <br />the operation of a city and society overall; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Street Improvement District model does create an important tool <br />for cities to use in providing this critical infrastructure; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, House File 2194/Senate File 2087 addresses much needed critical <br />funding for County Roads; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, current statute reflects an inequity leaving Hennepin and Ramsey <br />County out of the distribution while the remaining 5 counties in the 7 County Metro area <br />enjoy. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />supports the passage of HF1095/SF1271 which permits Street Improvement Districts. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City <br />Council equally supports passage of HF2194/SF2087 which adds Hennepin and Ramsey <br />County into the appropriate distribution for proceeds derived from the automotive lease <br />tax. <br /> <br />Adopted this 25th day of March 2019. <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Carol A.
