Mounds View City Council February 11, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase of a utility cart for <br />the Public Works Department. He reported the current cart has broken down several times and <br />was in need of replacement. He stated the new cart would be used to complete work in the City’s <br />parks and he described the work this cart could complete. He explained this was a budgeted <br />expense for 2019. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9082 <br />Approving the Purchase of a Utility Cart for the Public Works Department. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn thanked the Police Foundation and Police Chief Harder for all of their <br />efforts to put on the Daddy Daughter Dance. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported the next Festival in the Park Committee meeting would be held <br />on Tuesday, February 19th at the Community Center at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn noted on Thursday, February 21st the I-35W Coalition would be meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked all of the volunteers who assisted to make the Daddy <br />Daughter Dance an amazing event for the community. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated last Thursday, he and Council Member Gunn attended the <br />Northeast Youth and Family Services Service to Youth Award Ceremony. He congratulated <br />Principal Penny Howard for receiving an award this year. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending an NYFS Executive Committee <br />meeting on Thursday, February 14th. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull thanked Welch’s on 10 for providing food at the Daddy Daughter Dance. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull thanked the Public Works Department for all of their great efforts to keep <br />the City’s streets free and clear of snow. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron also thanked the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Council Member Gunn for serving as the Acting Mayor last week while <br />she was out of town. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office is holding a Scouting Day on <br />Saturday, February 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at their location on 1425 Paul Kirkwood <br />Drive in Arden Hills.
