Mounds View City Council March 11, 2019 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller recessed the City Council meeting to reconvene the EDA meeting at 6:48 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Reconvene the City Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reconvened the City Council meeting at 7:58 p.m. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Bob King, Mounds View Police Foundation, provided the Council with an update from the <br />Mounds View Police Foundation. He thanked the Mounds View/New Brighton Rotary Club for <br />their generous donation. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported the I-35W Coalition met in early March. She noted work was <br />beginning on the I-35W MnPASS project. She explained trees were being removed in order to <br />make room for the sound walls and commented on the changes that were coming for 2019. She <br />indicated this project would take three years to complete. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller requested staff put a link on the City’s website that would provide residents with <br />information on the I-35W MnPASS project. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported on Wednesday, March 13th he would be attending a <br />Mounds View Business Council meeting where MnDOT would be the guest speaker. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Thursday, March 14th he would attending an NYFS <br />Executive Committee meeting. On Tuesday, March 19th he would be attending a Twin Cities <br />Gateway Board meeting and on Wednesday, March 20th he would be attending an NYFS HR <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked the Public Works Department for all of the efforts to clear <br />the City’s streets after the recent snow events. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he attended a Cable Commission meeting last Thursday where <br />financial matters were discussed. Finance Director Beer noted franchise fee revenues were down <br />10% in 2018. Further discussion ensued regarding how CTV was changing their programming. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn requested residents keep their fire hydrants and storm drains free and <br />clear of snow. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Thursday, March 7th she attended the North Metro Chamber of <br />Commerce Gala Event with Assistant City Administrator Beeman. <br />
