RESOLUTION 9105 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A FLOOR SWEEPER SCRUBBER FOR THE <br />PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br />WHEREAS, during the design phase of the Public Works Facility (City Project No. <br />2017 -CO2) floor sealers with a lower VOC were used; and <br />WHEREAS, the requirement is that the floor be allowed to dry, the debris then be <br />swept and lastly having the floor scrubbed mechanically; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recently attended the League of Minnesota Safety and Loss <br />Control Workshop and at this workshop the new OSHA regulation of Silica Dust and of <br />the precautions that should be followed; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from SupplyWorks, a Home Depot Company <br />affiliate, of St. Paul, MN for an Advance 36 inch cylindrical floor scrubber machine for <br />$26,463.84; and <br />WHEREAS, The Cost for the scrubber is over the budgeted amount, Staff met with <br />the Finance Director to find a solution and a savings could be located in the Vehicle and <br />Equipment Fund to offset the this purchase. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby authorizes the purchase of an Advance 36 inch Cylindrical <br />Floor Scrubber, from SupplyWorks, a Home Depot Company affiliate, of St. <br />Paul, MN which is a vendor from the MN Cooperative Venture Purchasing <br />Program (CPV) at a cost of $26,463.84. <br />2. The Scrubber will also be equipped with the following 2 side brooms, rear <br />bumper squeegee guard, heavy duty front bumper and a dust guard kit. <br />3.
