RESOLUTION 7301 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />PURCHASE OF IN-SQUAD CAMERA SYSTEMS FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT USING FORFEITURE FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the <br />purchase of three In-Squad camera systems in 2008 utilizing forfeiture funds, and; <br />WHEREAS, staff of the police department have reviewed the various systems <br />available and determined that the Digital-Ally system most closely meets the needs of <br />the department, and; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the City purchasing policy a quote for the purchase of <br />three Digital Ally Camera Systems was received for $13,180.00. Quotes for two other <br />similar systems (ICOP, and Panasonic) were also reviewed and were higher in cost. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of <br />Mounds View authorizes the purchase of three Digital Ally in Squad Camera Systems <br />from Tactical Solutions in the amount of $13,180.00 not including tax, from the Police <br />Department forfeiture fund. <br />Adopted this 14th day of July 2008. <br />Rob arty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: ~~ , <br />Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
